One in five women over the age of 35 will experience uterine fibroids.

How do Fibroids Disappear with Acupuncture? Uterine fibroids are an abnormal growth of fibrous tissue in and around the uterus. Treating fibroids with acupuncture can be a quick and is non-invasive.  Some woman may have one large fibroid measuring which can be more than 10cm in diameter while others may have several fibroids less than 1cm in diameter.  Many woman may not even be aware of their fibroids while others may have the following symptoms:

  • Sharp stabbing pain before and during menstruation
  • Dark blood with clots during day one or two of menses
  • Heavy bleeding during menses
  • Uterine bleeding outside of menses
  • Pain during sex and or any other physical movement
  • Hardenings and constant pain in the lower abdomen
  • Lower back pain
  • Frequent urination from fibroids pressing against the bladder
  • Odorous uterine discharge
  • Infertility due to fibroids blocking ovaries and fallopian tubes

Surgery for fibroids may delay or permanently prevent a woman’s ability to become pregnant.

While conventional methods to treat fibroids evolve around surgery which can be open and include a hysterectomy or laparoscopic while removing only the fibrous tissue itself.  Other forms of surgery may focus on embolization of the arteries leading to fibroids and cutting of the blood supply through cauterization.  No matter what the case may be, surgery may delay or permanently prevent a woman’s ability to become pregnant.

FDA warns: Laparoscopic power morcellators should no longer be used for hysterectomy or myomectomy in most women with uterine fibroids because of the risk of spreading unsuspected cancerous tissue.

Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine offer a much more gentle approach to treating fibroids.

Fibroids disappear with acupuncture. By the time a woman reaches the age of 35, blood flow to the uterus may be have decreased by 80% compared to a woman in her reproductive prime. Decreased blood flow combined with hormonal imbalances can promote the formation and growth of fibroids.  Acupuncture is the only known modality to effectively increase blood flow to the uterus.  Correspondingly acupuncture and Chinese herbs can effectively balance a woman’s hormones.  These two factors can decrease the size of fibroids and make fibroids disappear with acupuncture.  Studies show that Acupuncture and Oriental medicine are 94% effective in making fibroids disappear when fibroids are 5cm or less in size.  For others they can be diminished in size and the fiboids become asymptomatic with acupuncture.  This is great news for any woman over the age of 35 with fibroids that wants to conceive or simply avoid surgery.
